Here you will find information concering the BakaPlayer flash-based mp3 player that is used to play the Thorax Radio content here on Antabaka.net. The BakaPlayer is an mp3 player created and maintained by j-man, and is designed specifically for web applications. The player contains a few features that are unique to most of the other players out there such as the pre-load next track functionality. But best of all, the player is completely FREE! You may download the source and tweak it around or modify it any way you desire. Or if you want you can take the pre-compiled .swf and supply your own playlist information. You can try it out just by clicking the "radio tower" icon in the upper righthand corner of the page.

Here's a small list of the features built into the bakaplayer

Randomly Shuffled playlist - Playist data is shuffled so that songs play in a new order each time
Externally Loaded Playlist - Playlist data is kept in an external file for easy maintainance and changes
Pause/Play/Stop functionality - Play stop or pause the MP3 at any point
Next song/Previous Song functionality - Navigate to the next or previous track
Volume/ Playhead Control - Full control of player volume, easy navigation to any point in the current track
Pre-Load next Mp3 - As the current mp3 is nearing completion, the next mp3 will start to load to allow for instant playback of the next track
Dynamic Display - Quick and easy display of current track position, player status, load status and tool tips or vol slider/ playhead info
Auto-scrolling Track Info - Track Title information will automatically scroll if it is too large to fit in the display

If the track does not restart after pausing:
If the sound does not re-start after pausing, it is likely that you are using a version of the flash player that is older than v 6r40. Updating your flash player version will fix the problem.

For those who need this player fit to their custom application, but lack the means or knowledge to do so, I am willing to build a custom player for you. However, I am generally a busy person so make me an offer and please let me know as much detail as to what you want and I'll get back to you. The complexity of the custom player along with my time constraints will be the main determining factors.
