01-31-03 - I HATE SPAM!!! I get spam in my inbox about every 30 minutes! I keep trying to remove myself from the lists by clicking on the links they provide, but- I keep getting spammed by the same people! And if somehow I DO manage to get off of the lists, the jerks send my e-mail address to many other companies so that THEY can spam me worse! I also try using the spam blocker that blocks specific e-mail addresses from sending me more mail, but they keep changing their e-mail addresses every time they want to spam me! Hell, I even once got a mail from an anonymous e-mail address, because they used one of those anonymous e-mail sender programs! I suppose I'll have to remain submerged under the sea of junk e-mail forever.

01-18-03 - CRAPfomercial: Is anyone else sick of the crap that they're constantly trying to peddle on tv? You know what I mean. Those constant 'infomercials' where they have this great new product or some other shit that the rest of us must have in order to make it through our miserable daily lives. The basic scenario is that they have some bumbling idiot doing any kind of normal task that really anybody could do. But being a bumbling idiot, they struggle haplessly with the "old" (normal) way of doing it. And of course they show you their "new and improved" product and suddenly the bumbling idiot can do menial things with ease! I'll give you an example: That stupid fucking pasta strainer that they have been selling lately. "Do you like to cook pasta, but are too much of a dumbass to drain the water off without spilling all of your spaghetti down the drain?" Well then try our new magical pasta pot, you stupid lummox. Give me a break! It's a fucking lid with holes in it. Not exactly a modern engineering marvel that will change the way we live. Not that it was remotely difficult to drain water in the first place. But Wait! Call now and we will give you last month's shitty: food chopper, scratch remover, dent puller, can opener Absolutely Free! Oh great, just what we need. Sweeten the the deal by throwing in the stupid shit that they couldn't sell last month. Actually, If you're dumb enough to believe in that nonsense and buy the product, then maybe you deserve it.

08-12-2002 - RAPE: For all of you people out there who are currently a student in a college or university, chances are you fit into one of two categories:
In case you cannot guess, I happen to fall into the second category. I do not mind the fact that I must pay for my own education but Penn State is killing me. For the past two years (2000-2002) PSU has raised tuition rates by over 12% each year! This amounts to nearly an additional 2 grand per semester more that I am paying now then when I started in 1999. Recent studies have shown that student aid (loans and or grants) have not increased nearly as much as tuition rates, and this trend is not likely to change any time soon. My aid is calculated almost solely by what my parents make, regardless of wether or not they actually help me with my educational expenses in any way... The system is complete bullshit! Now I'm sure some of you out their going to private schools and such are paying a great deal more than I am, however I did not choose to go to a private school. PSU is ranked top among the "Big Ten" in tuition rates and frankly, I don't see the great increase in the quality of my education to accompany these tuition hikes. The worst part of it is PSU will probably continue raping its students with unneeded tuition increases, while it increases its budget for football and administrative ventures.

06-02-2002 - Yeah I know I can't win this argument because there will never be a solution but GOD DAMMIT VIDEO GAMES ARE NOT THE CAUSE OF VIOLENCE IN AMERICA'S YOUTH!! Well.. maybe for some. The thing that I don't understand is that as soon as something bad happens and video games are linked to in the slightest degree then they become the number one cause. Yesterday I read this article about a 12-year-old girl who apparently committed suicide due to the fact that she could not beat Bomberman. The article states that nothing about the video game was in the suicide note that the girl left. So let's all just be dumbasses and say that because she played video games and couldn't beat a game that she decided to end her life. I find it rather hard to believe that a 12-year-old would commit suicide over a game. There HAD to have been something else troubling her. When I was that age and I couldn't pass a part of a game I would get frustrated too. It's human nature. Instead of trying to kill myself I'd try to break my controller or something else. I'd always stop after a second of trying to break it and to this day I still can't go through with it. So in my opinion there was something else going on in that story. Let's just send the blame straight to video games. Why not? Isn't that the easiest way out? I'm finished.. for now. If you will excuse me, I have to go Wal-Mart so that I can sue them for not having anything in stock. I'm sure I can win.

02-09-2002 - Ok, so right now we don't really have anything to rant about since the site just opened. I'm sure that sometime soon one of will get severely pissed off at something. The only thing that has me cussing out my comp is every 15-20 minutes I'm getting this damned clicking in my speakers. I determined that it wasn't the sound card. I unplugged my speakers and just sat there listening patiently. Finally the damn thing clicked and that told me it wasn't my sound card and it's not my speakers cuz it did it for both sets. I'm thinking my monitor may be dying due to the fact that the first time I heard the click the monitor flickered as well. Maybe I have a wire hung up on something but that doesn't seem to be it. I checked all the connections and wires and my only conclusions are that my heater melted a wire or my monitor is finally dying. If this monitor dies I'll be forced to go back to my Dell monitor that gets a great(<-- Sarcasm) 1024x768 res and 60Hz refresh rate. If I don't find out just what the hell is causing this shit I'm gonna go fscking crazy. Anyway, I guess I had a little to let out. This site just opened so have fun browsing through it. I know that we as a staff are happy about it and how great ideas just kept coming to us(well, most of us), heh.. Ja na~

Update on the clicking - I still don't know what the hell is causing it but I figured out that it occurs every 30.5 minutes. I turned off my monitor and it still made the clicking so I guess my monitor isn't to blame. Now I have no fscking idea what it could be.
